Plant Sales. Our Hellebore Open House and Plant Sale kicks off the local plant sale season. Held in early March (it will be March 2nd this year) at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, the sale is known for its hellebores, unique specialties and plants not readily found elsewhere.

The NPA Spring Plant Sale gathers thousands of plants from our famous NPA Borders, donations from our members’ gardens and favorite vendors, for a plant lover’s dream sale. Held Sunday, April 20th, 10 am-3 pm, at North Seattle Community College, 9600 College Way North, Seattle.

Scholarships. The NPA has a strong commitment to helping students build a career in horticulture, awarding two $1500 scholarships to matriculated students pursuing education in horticulture, botany, landscape design, landscape architecture or environmental science.  To apply for a scholarship click here to download an application, or contact our Scholarship Chair.  The deadline for the 2009 scholarships is January 15, 2009, with funding available for Spring, Summer or Fall quarters as needed.

NPA Borders at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. The NPA maintains one of the premier perennial gardens in the U.S. The NPA Borders, at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, encompass more than 22,000 square feet and 10,000 perennials.

Described as “the biggest, boldest, most bodacious border on earth” in Garden Design magazine, the garden owes its success to dedicated teams of NPA volunteers. For photos, click here.

The Bellevue Botanical Garden is free and open to the public. Driving directions.

Speakers Bureau. The NPA is primarily an educational organization, which is why we maintain a roster of speakers eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for horticulture in talks to small and large groups. For a copy of our Speakers Bureau list, contact our Speakers Bureau.
