About membership

NPA membership dues cost as little as $35 per year.

Memberships start in January and run through December, although you can join any time during the year. If you join after September, your membership will extend through the following year. Canadian and international dues start at $40 to cover mailing costs.

  • Membership Card

Your NPA membership card covers one year of membership from January to December, and entitles you to free or reduced admission to NPA events and meetings, admission to our Open Gardens tours, as well as discounts on books, seeds and nursery purchases. Be sure to bring the card along with you to all NPA events!

  • Free Garden Tours

Tour more than 70 beautiful private gardens from April to September, open only to NPA members. Look for your Open Gardens directory in April. For more, see Open Gardens.

  • Lectures and Symposiums

Enjoy five free lectures a year, plus a reduced fee to the annual Kevin Nicolay Lecture and occasional all-day symposiums. NPA brings in celebrities from around the Pacific Northwest and throughout the gardening world. Check our calendar.

Three big plant sales, the Hellebore Open in March, the Spring Plant Sale in April, and a Fall Plant Sale in September.

  • Neighborhood Groups

There are 20 small NPA garden clubs in Seattle, Snohomish, Bellevue, Olympia and many other communities. See our list of neighborhood groups.
