Welcome to the NPA

The Northwest Perennial Alliance (NPA) is one of the largest nonprofit gardening organizations in Washington. Our mission is to help gardeners learn more about perennials and horticulture in the Pacific Northwest. We offer a wide range of activities, all run by volunteers:

We also maintain one of the premier perennial gardens in the U.S., the NPA Borders at the Bellevue Botanical Garden.

Upcoming events

  • Polar Bear Planting Party - Sunday, December 14, 11 am – 4 pm, Bellevue Botanical Garden, 12001 Main St, Bellevue.  Come help us plant the new NPA Border. Hundreds of new plants are ready to go in, along with many treasures saved this summer that are now ready to replant. We will also be lifting and potting up peonies from the old section of the Border. As always, each volunteer gets to take home a treasured perennial. Bring lunch and bring a friend -- nonmembers welcome!
